We were pleased to offer the Artesian Online Art Market for 2020. The online market presented an opportunity to enjoy fine art from Southeastern First American artists from the comfort of your home. We were excited to share beautiful original works of art and connect buyers and First American artists. The Artesian Online Art Market was open May 22 through July 31, 2020. Check back soon for updates on plans for 2021.
The 2020 Artesian Arts Festival, set for May 23, 2020 was canceled. As the coronavirus, or COVID-19, spread globally and cases continued to rise in the United States, including Oklahoma, the Chickasaw Nation canceled the annual event out of an abundance of caution. Please check back periodically for updated information.
The festival is open to artists from all federally recognized tribes. Accepted artists are invited to enter the juried art competition and participate in the art market. The festival also offers a wide variety of tribal dance demonstrations, musical entertainment, artist talks, food vendors and children’s activities.
The Artesian Arts Festival is located on the beautiful Artesian Plaza in downtown Sulphur, Oklahoma, and nestled among the Artesian Hotel and Casino, the Artesian Gallery and Studios, the Chickasaw National Recreation Area and numerous boutiques and shops.
