A handwoven jacket to commemorate the birth of a White Bison’s birth. It was woven in a Brighton Honeycomb weave pattern with Silk/Wool and textured cotton yarn to imitate the texture of the coat of the calf.
Beadwork on the ultra suede yolk simulates the flames of the prairie fires that burned the old growth and fresh new shoots of green grass brought the Bison back to the prairies. The back of the jacket has a beaded Sun Symbol and hand wrought silver conchoes hold ties at the neck of the jacket.
